A changing bag or as our American cousins call it a Diaper Bag is essentially a Babies Bag to contain all the needful items to change a Nappy while out and about. For trained military personnel this bag would be maintained and loaded with precision to carry out the operation in question however for the rest of us this bag inevitably ends up carrying half the house. Nearly all changing bags have a small foldable changing mat which pops into one of the pockets, others may contain a dirty nappy bag and some also contain a thermal pocket or thermal bag for keeping fluids hot or cold. Many of the newer style bags have bag hooks attached to enable you to hang your changing bag from your pushchair handle. The strap type is one of the next points of differentiation. The rucksack style changing bags have recently become popular especially where one requires a hands free approach. Other bags may just have the long shoulder belt which can hang from your pushchair handle quite easily and the more hand bag looking designs have the shorter easy grab double handles. Many pram and pushchair manufacturers design a bag to co-ordinate with the specific fabrics of the pram however there are plenty of universal changing bags that will blend with most models.
