Children can get fidgety when they're fastened in a car seat. They want to explore, to look out the window, to see the world - and they might look for a way out of their harness. This can have disastrous consequences. Having a child loose in the back seat of a car is distracting to the driver and dangerous to the child.

The 5-Point Plus anti-escape system helps prevent children from wriggling out of their car seat harness. A traditional 5-point safety harness has a gap on either side; a gap a child can use to fit their arms back through, creating a dangerous situation where the harness is off their shoulders and around their waist. The 5-point Plus anti-escape system reduces that gap, making it harder for your child to escape the harness; but you can still release the harness as you normally would.
